What are the differences between free and advanced version?
The free version provides a base functionality with the initial design (UI/Functionality/Interaction) of BatteryStatus that evolved by feedback of a lot of users at xda-developers. You can read about this version in the manual for BatteryStatus Free http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_batterystatus_xda_neo_wm5_def_im_cs.htm
BatteryStatus Free will be kept stable and only stable code/bug fixes (tested in BatteryStatus Advanced) gets into BatteryStatus Free.
(Actually some emails say that it's not clear, so i do mention it explicitly: BatteryStatus Free is not capable of using themes!!!)
BatteryStatus Advanced is based on BatteryStatus Free and provides much much more functionality including building of customized User Interfaces for PDA-Phones/PDAs with touch-display by means of a simple structured xml-language (called BS-XML for now).
You can read about BatteryStatus Advanced in the manual for BatteryStatus Advanced here http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_batterystatus_xda_neo_wm5_ext_im_cs.htm
An extensive manual for customizing / BS-XML can be found here http://www.chi-tai.info/cs_batterystatus_xda_neo_wm5_ext_cust_im_cs.htm
BatteryStatus Advanced is in beta-state and will get into productive-state very soon. It will either be shareware or stay freeware, but this i don't know yet.
